We have an Infant program (6 weeks to 2 years old) and a Preschool program (2 years old to 3 years old or children transitioning to TK)

+ Is there onsite parking?

There is limited street parking. Street cleaning days and times are as follows: Monday 8am-10am (On the school side) Tuesday 8am - 10am (Across the street of the school)

+ What are your hours?

We are open 7 am to 6pm

+ What are the teachers qualifications?

All teachers hold a minimum of 12 child development units, first aid and CPR certification for infants, children and adults and have received training as Mandated Reporters.

+ What holidays are you closed?

All Federal with additional days including: Spring Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Years Day
The Calendar is updated annually so families have ample notice of closures.

We are open Monday-Friday

+ What ages are accepted?

We accept children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old

+ Do you offer lunch or meals?

Yes! We offer a nutritious breakfast, hot lunch and snacks throughout the day. All meals are for children on solids.

+ What is your enrollment process?

We start our enrollment process with a tour of our school site. When speaking to the owner or co-owner of the school you can receive necessary information about the programs and have any questions answered not included on this page. Tuition rates will be discussed and finally each family will be given an enrollment packet that must be completed on or before the start date.

+ What is your curriculum?

At The Learning Home we believe that children learn best through exploration and play. When provided with a purposeful environment children master academic skills as well as important social and emotional skills. Through self driven challenges, positive peer interactions, and teacher facilitated activities each child becomes a more active learner. Our developmental approach allows us to observe the children and find the best way to facilitate learning. Because each child learns differently our curriculum constantly evolves to fit the needs and interests of each class.

+ What is sick policy?

At our school we ensure the health and safety of all our children. If your child becomes ill during the day, we will isolate your child from the other children and call you to pick up your child within one hour of our call. Your child will not be permitted to attend school until 24 hours after the fever, vomiting, or severe diarrhea has subsided.

+ What is your discipline policy?

We strive to promote a healthy self-image in each child. Any discipline will be given in a positive direction. A patient and loving attitude will be practiced at all times in our center. Helpful redirection of inappropriate behavior will be stressed. "Time Outs" will not be used as a form of discipline in our center, corporal punishment is not permitted, nor any violation of personal rights of a child.

+ Are all the staff and supporting staff Fingerprinted?

Yes, all owners and family members living in th home over the age of 18 and supporting staff are fingerprinted through Community Care Licensing, Department of Justice, Child Abuse Index and local PD.

+ Are children and teachers required immunizations?

As a school we want to ensure the safety of our children and our staff. We require all children and staff to be up to date with all immunizations.

+ How do you communicate with parents?

At our school we have an amazing app called Brightwheel. All current families are invited to join the app upon enrollment. Through the app a parent or guardian can sign in digitally, send private messages to the Director, Administrator or child's teacher. The app also provides families with the annual calendar of closures and school events.

+ What types of payments are accepted?

We accept Checks, Cash, ACH, Crystal stairs and other government funded programs. No credit or debit cards are accepted.

+ Does my child have to potty trained?

Your child does not have to be potty trained to be part of our preschool program. We offer potty training curriculum as part of our school program. We work with each family to make a plan to make a smooth transition from home to school.

+ Do you offer part time schedule?

Yes, we offer part time schedules for both our infant and preschool programs. We offer 3 and 4 day options. We do not offer drop in care or half day programs.

+ Do you have an open door policy?

Yes, our school is open to all enrolled parents and or guardians to come unannounced during our hours of operation.

+ Is there a discount on tuition?

Yes we offer multi child or military discounts of 10% off monthly tuition. One discount per family (if applicable) and the discount applies on the lower tuition rate.
